Radco

BUSINESS PARTNER

The RADCO Companies is a multi-family property management and development organization. They have grown considerably over the past  few years, and own, operate and renovate multi-family houses in the US, with 50+ properties and 80,000 doors.

What was/is the objective?

We were assigned to work with the RADCO construction department to identify what type of system could help them coordinate the work of construction teams and data management. Our client spun up a couple of Azure virtual machines and built a data model.

Based on that model, we developed a website. Our Java-based solution was targeted to iPad and larger form factors. It allows construction managers in the field to take notes, change dates, talk to the actual contractors, and so on. This data is pushed up to the corporate level, allowing our client to keep track of the status of the projects. Instead of depending on a Windows environment, we spun up some Linux servers in Azure, which has been successful in terms of cost-effectiveness and performance.

DEVELOPMENT STAGES

1

Presenting the appearance of application screens designed by our UX / UI team using the provided data. At this stage, we introduced an MVP equipped with functionalities for collecting and storing data regarding teams, contractors and work progress.

2

Further development of the application gave us the opportunity to create extensive reports, collations and visualization of the collected data.

3

Addition of auxiliary functionalities at the client’s request, application maintenance and the process of transferring the development to the internal RADCOteam.

Achievements

1 Our client was impressed with the results of our work, so they added an auxiliary feature to the site, enabling other departments to capture some of their data.
2 Construction managers have enjoyed using the software, as does the senior VP of construction. Thanks to our software, he has been more effective at checking projects when travelling across the country.
3 From a qualitative standpoint, the software has and continues to help, as more and more people grasp the value of the data being provided in real-time.
